The Straw Hat Pirates arrive at a new island, where they meet a young girl named Vivi, who reveals she is the princess of the kingdom of Alabasta. Vivi explains that her kingdom is in turmoil due to a rebellion led by a mysterious figure, Crocodile. Vivi asks Luffy for help to stop the chaos in her kingdom. Luffy agrees, and Vivi joins the crew temporarily.
